Obituary for Anna "Nikki" Likely

Anna “Nikki” Likely, of Auburndale passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Lieutenant John I. Likely of the Newton Police Force, she was predeceased by her three sons, Richard, Daniel and James Likely. She is survived by three daughters, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nikki was the dear sister of Andrew and Frederick Corporale and Katie Lydon. She will be dearly missed by her granddaughter Virginia “Ginnie” Likely Reece and great-grandson Kyle of Wayland, son Dale and his wife Vicki of AR and niece Patricia "Tishy" Cheney of Hanover.

Nikki worked as a receptionist for the City of Newton Parks Department for many years. She was an active and beloved member of the St. Bernard Parish community, American Gold Star Mothers, the American Legion and Girls’ High School Alumni.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, May 25th at 10AM in St. Bernard Parish, 1523 Washington St. West Newton followed by interment in Newton Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 3-7PM in the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, 1479 Washington St. West Newton.
