Obituary for Robert B. Miksenas
Robert B. Miksenas of Auburndale, April 24, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Mary P. (Ropper). Devoted father of Robert J. Miksenas of RI, Joanne Ciesluk and her husband Peter of Wellesley, and Noreen McCarthy and her husband Bryan of Falmouth. Loving grandfather of Kristine Ciesluk Schwass, Cody Schwass, Joseph Grogan, Peter K. Ciesluk, Katelyn McCarthy Halstead, Morgan McCarthy, Madison McCarthy and 4 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his siblings; Andrew, William, Bronis, Samuel, Stephen, Anne, Mary and Melvina Miksenas and Sally Driscoll.
Robert was a proud veteran of the US Navy serving in WWII where he earned the WWII Victory Medal as well as the American and Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Medals. He was a member of the Auxiliary Police in the City of Newton, the Newton Police Shooting Team, Hudson Rod and Gun Club as well as the American Legion Post 440.
Private funeral services were held followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flower's remembrances may be made in Robert’s memory to St. Jude's Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
