Obituary for James Edward "Jim" Marceau

James (Jim) Edward Marceau passed away peacefully on Friday February 22, 2019, a few months shy of his 90th birthday. Jim was born in Holyoke, MA and attended Bentley College. He is a Korean War Veteran and had an accomplished career in the federal government. Jim is preceded by his loving wife, Sheila and survived by two children and four grandchildren. In recent years Jim enjoyed the many friendships he made while living at Brookhaven in Lexington. Family and Friends are cordially invited for visiting hours to be held on Wednesday, February 27th from 4-8pm at Burke and Blackington Funeral Home, 1479 Washington Street, West Newton, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 28th at 10:30 am at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington Street, Newton, Ma. A private burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. Memorial donations in Jim’s name may be made to the Palliative Care Division at Tufts Medical Center, 800 Washington Street, #231, Boston, Ma 02111.
