Obituary for Rudolph A. Capasso

Capasso, Rudolph A., of Centerville and longtime W. Newton resident, passed away suddenly, November 22, 2018. Rudy was Born in East Boston, MA, on October 13, 1930, to the

late Eugene Capasso and Elena (Pelosi) Capasso. Rudy was the Beloved Husband of Dorothy (Yarnold) Capasso, who predeceased him in 2010, after 56 years of Marriage. They met when She attended the Newton Wellesly Hospital Nursing School Class of 1953.He Graduated from Newton High School, Class of 1948. U.S. Navy, Korean War Veteran, 1948-1952.

Graduate of Burdett Business College, Boston, 1955. Rudy's Career in Business, encompassed, Working at American Motors/Kelvinator and General Electric/Hotpoint, in Contract Sales, until Retirement in 1995. Rudy is Survived by His Son, Richard Capasso, of W. Newton, MA. Daughter, Cynthia (Capasso) Meisner and her Husband Kenneth, of Natick and S. Yarmouth, MA.

Grandchildren, Christopher Meisner, of Natick, MA, Lindsey (Meisner) Thomas and Her Husband, Stephen, of Westfield, MA, and Great Grandson Stephen C. Thomas.

Sister, Rose (Capasso) Thomas, and Eleanor (Capasso) DiCicco, of Centerville, MA. Also numerous Cousins,Nephews, Nieces, and their Children. While in the U.S. Navy, he was Assigned to the U.S.S. Cadmus, at Norfolk, VA and played for a Navy Exhibition Baseball Team.Rudy volunteered as a Coach for Newton Little League Baseball, and Newton Pop Warner Football, for many years.

In Retirement he Volunteered in helping Natick High School Baseball and Football. A life long Golfer, He was a member of Marlboro Country Club. Family & friends will gather for a Funeral Service in the Newton Cemetery Chapel, 781 Walnut St., Newton Centre, MA, Thursday, November 29 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Newton Cemetery,
