Obituary for Kimberly Anne Quigley

Kimberly Anne (Areglado) Quigley of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, age 44, passed away on October 4th, 2018 after a long illness.She was the devoted wife of Sean Quigley of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, and beloved mother of their daughters, Katelyn and Emily. She was also the loving daughter of Nancy and Christopher Jennison of Franklin, MA and Ronald and Maureen Areglado of Charlestown, RI, as well as the fond daughter-in-law of Valerie and Robert Olpp of Chatham, NJ and Edward Quigley of Texarkana, TX.Kim was also the cherished sister of Kristin Hurley of Portland, ME along with her husband, Jason and their daughter, Madison; and Julie Polmonari of Hingham, MA along with her husband, James and their children, Aiden and Sloane; and dear sister-in-law of Kristin Russell of West Orange, NJ, along with her husband Michael and their children, James and Joseph.She was the treasured niece of Ted and Marie Doyle of Buzzards Bay, MA and their children, Kerry Stearns and Tim Doyle; Joyce Hyland of Wareham, MA and her children, Bill and Bob Hyland; RoseMary and Dan Fuss of Wellesley, MA and their son, Dan Fuss, Jr.; Richard Areglado of Mt. Horeb, WI and his children, Scott, Jennifer Harter and Beth Kaiser; and Nadia and Edgar Menjivar of South San Francisco, CA and their children, Cristina and David.

Kimberly was born in Greenfield, MA on June 11, 1974, and grew up in Massachusetts and Virginia.She graduated from W.T. Woodson High School in Fairfax, VA in 1993, where she was a member of the crew team, chorus and a friend to many.She graduated from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA in 1998, and was the president of the Communications Honor Society while a student there.Kim was a highly skilled educator with over 15 years of experience working in early childhood education, and later with senior citizens. More recently, Kim was founder of Health and Wellness Solutions, where she used her expertise as a recreational therapist, nutritional coach, personal trainer and educator to help women and seniors in Detroit, MI live healthier lives.She published hundreds of articles on health and wellness topics.

Kim was fun-loving and joyful, a trusted friend and confidante to many inside and outside her family.She loved the outdoors and was an avid cross-country skier, soccer player and rower.Kim had a heart of gold and was generous with her time. She loved animals, art and music, but most of all she loved her family – who will miss her dearly.Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, October 10 at Henry J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home at 56 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. John the Evangelist Church at 9 Glen Road in Wellesley Hills, MA on Thursday, October 11th at 10:30 AM.
