Condolences

Condolence From: Richard Sullivan
Condolence: The first time meeting Joe was in the mid 1970's (you know last century)at Sea Gull Golf Course and motel in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. This course had the distinction of having a par 4 and a par 5 on the same hole. Two separate greens. Joe is the only person I know to have recorded an eagle on the par 5 part of the course. In the group that was there numbered approximately 20 people. Joe had to have a bet with everyone of them. And Joe won most of them. One of my most memorable moments was at Newton Commonwealth when one of the regular players wanted to have his wedding nuptials performed on what was the 18th hole tee of the course. Well as the ceremony was about to commence someone came up to the tee and said "Stop I have to tee off first" You guessed it was Joe. And right down the middle. My condolences to the family. It was my pleasure to know him. He was a nice man and what a wonderful legacy that is. Richard Sullivan Newton Commonwealth Golf Course
