Margaret A. Ridge, a lifelong resident of Newton, December 10, 2017. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 30 years, James Pappis. Daughter of the late John and Mary (Walsh) Ridge. Dear sister to James, Kieran, John, Martin and Colman Ridge and the late Mary E. Beissner. She is also survived by 3 stepchildren, Ellen, Charles and Elizabeth as well as 18 nieces and nephews. A longtime employee of Raytheon, who in her retirement enjoyed golf and wintering most recently in St. Petersburg FL, and formerly in Bonita Springs. She loved to travel. Her passion for the city of Paris led her to spend 2-3 weeks each year visiting the city she loved. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 14 at 10:30AM in Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, 573 Washington St. Newton. Visiting hours Wednesday 3-5PM in the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, 1479 Washington St. West Newton. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org
