SCARPATO, Joanne G. of West Newton and Marion, November 4, 2017. Beloved wife of Salvatore Scarpato, Jr. for 61 years. Together, Sal and Joanne founded and grew Automatic Laundry Services Co, Inc. from a “Mom and Pop company” to a thriving third generation business providing laundry facilities management throughout the Northeast. She enjoyed an entrepreneurial spirit throughout her life, but always put family first. Joanne is the loving mother of Scott S. Scarpato and wife Tricia of Weston and Susan Kollaard and husband Hans of Weston. Dear grandmother of Samantha, Scott Jr., and Peter Scarpato and Michael, Christopher and Nicholas Kollaard. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 10 AM in St. Bernard Parish , 1529 Washington St. West Newton followed by interment in Newton Cemetery. Visiting hours, this evening, Tuesday, November 7 from 4-8 PM in the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home 1479 Washington St. West Newton.
