Guarry Pierre-Mike (Go Go), Age 63, of Allston, MA, passed away on Thursday, April
13, 2017 in his home. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bernard Parish, 1523 Washington St., West Newton, MA. Visiting hours will be held at the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, 1479 Washington St., West Newton, MA, on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Guarry was born in Port-au Prince, Haiti to the late Raymond Pierre-Mike and Aremise (Georges) Mike on January 23, 1954. He attended Brighton High School and graduated in 1973. He went on to attend Wentworth Institution for two years’ as well as ATI where he received his HVAC certification. Guarry worked as a Union Journeyman, Local 537 for 34 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was affectionately known as “papi” by his grandchildren. He was known for his beautiful gardens, talking politics and world events, cooking for his family and always providing great words of wisdom. He simply had a way of making everyone feel special. Guarry was a longstanding member of the Knights of Columbus. Guarry is survived by his wife, Debbie Perry Pierre-Mike of Allston, MA, his daughters Janaya (Jermaine) Pierre-Mike Hood of Lowell, MA and Porsha (Christopher) Pierre-Mike Mee of Quincy, MA, and son, Kyle Pierre-Mike of Allston, MA; as well as his three grandchildren: Seniyah & Zara-Noel Hood and Adam Heggie. He is survived by his brothers, Daniel (Michelle) Pierre-Mike of Mattapan, MA, Harry (Shirley) Pierre-Mike of Mattapan, MA, Wilner (Evelyne) of Madison, AL; sisters, Nadia Pierre-Mike of Colorado Springs, CO, Mika Pierre-Mike and Cynthia Pierre-Mike of Queens, NY and numerous loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Guarry is preceded in death by his brother, Marlon Pierre-Mike. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Good Shepherd Hospice (Nola Douglas & Sianna Lieb and the nurses and doctors from Dana Farber (Brighton, MA). Guarry will remain in our hearts forever.
