Ross, Don H. Sr., of Newton, in his 96th year, December 1, 2016. Don H. Ross, Sr. husband of 70 years to Carolynn G. Ross, father of Don H. Ross, Jr., and his wife Susan, Priscilla Ross, Stephen Ross, Gary Ross and his wife Maureen, Stuart Ross and his wife Maria, Martha Ross Tobias and her husband Dave. Grandfather to Andrew Ross, and the late Phillip Ross, Hannah Tobias, Sarah Tobias, Don H. Ross, III, and Julia Ross. Born 1921 in Yonkers, NY. Graduated from MIT in 1943 with a degree in aeronautical engineering. Started his career at the MIT Wright Brother’s Wind Tunnel, was on the design team to develop and operate the MIT Naval Supersonic Laboratory, worked at Mithras, Inc., Sanders Associates, and Lockheed Martin. Lifelong engineer, inventor, and gadgeteer. He leaves a lasting legacy of creativity, discovery, humor, wit and kindness. The family cherishes the love he gave and forever will be grateful for the time we had with him. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to MIT AeroAstro Development Fund
