Condolence: I miss you so, so much, Jane. I wish things could have been different. I just want to talk to you one more time, for 10 years. I still can't comprehend or process that I won't be able to ever again. Sometimes you show up in my dreams and I don't want the dream to ever end, but it always does and you're not here. You made life worth living for me. Please be happy, and wait for me.

Condolence: Dear Mr. and Ms. Song, It has been nearly a year, and on behalf of myself and Finian Burns, I would love to say just how much we miss her, but even words cannot express that. This summer, at Greenwood, we all felt her presence. The Chiara String Quartet played the Brahms String Quartet slow movement that she played the previous summer, and we all cried, and then sat on the wall together and watched the sunset. We all shared memories and recordings of her after Church on the first Sunday. We planted a tree in her honor; it's next to the pool. I believe it is a dogwood, but I could be wrong. Anyway, we just wanted to reach out and hopefully inform you of all this. Greenwood will always remember her. Sincerely, Lucas Amory

Condolence: Dear Mr. and Mrs. Song, I am writing to share in your grief and your loss. Your daughter was such a beautiful and talented young girl. I remember meeting and talking with you after you accompanied her in recital-if my memory serves the Bruch Violin Concerto which you both played so beautifully together. My son had played in the same recital. I am praying daily, for strength for you and your family, for remembrance, and for love. My heart is with you. I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your beautiful girl.

Condolence: Dear Jane, I'm glad I got to know you these past two years in Orchestra. You're an incredible violinist and Nobles won't be the same without you. My mom, who taught you Chinese, really misses you. She has only good things to say about you and I wish I got to know you more. You're an amazing student and all your teachers love you. I remember one day when you were doing a Latin independent study with my advisor. I dropped by to hand him a paper flower. You told me that you liked my origami roses. Your words made me smile, and to this day I think of you every time I make a paper rose. I've been giving out my roses to the Nobles community this week, and there isn't a moment when we don't think of you. Rest in peace, Jane. We'll miss you dearly. <3

Your daughter seemed to be a wonderful person, and I wish you all my prayers for peace and comfort.

Condolence: Yoon and Yong-Ak, your daughter Jane is a beautiful bright light that will blaze on forever. We met Jane in Kindergarten at Countryside School. I was always struck by her sweet and kind nature. Aviva took out pictures from birthday parties, and remembering Jane is both very sad and yet, there is a spark of joy when we see Jane's twinkling smile. We are aching with you.

Condolence: Jane, your amazing violin skills will always be remembered. I learned a lot from having you as my stand partner at Brown. You always helped me when I made a mistake in orchestra class. I loved your spirit and your attitude when you helped me out. I will always remember your advice and your lovely soul. Peace.

Condolence: Dear Yoon & Yong-Ak, I still cannot fathom what has happened. Jane was a beautiful young lady. Besides being brilliant and enormously talented musically, she was kind, gentle, giving, generous, and a constant source of positive energy. She gave so much to Brown's orchestra while she was here that I would like to dedicate our upcoming concert to her (if that would be all right with you). I hope that God gives you much strength to process this loss and to someday be able to experience joy and beauty once again. Much love, Laurie Wadsworth

Condolence: Dear Yoon and Yong-Ak, Jane was truly an incredible human being, and words cannot express the deep pain and sorrow I feel in losing her. Even though I didn’t know her well, she was a real source of light and inspiration in my life. I can’t even begin to imagine how hard it must be for you to deal with this tragedy, and I want you to know that I am thinking of you a lot. My heart goes out to you. I first met Jane in a violin recital at NEC when we were both in 8th grade. I was immediately struck by her radiant smile, a smile overflowing with unending love and compassion. From that day on, her exquisite ability on the violin, as well as her kindness, warmth, humility and positive energy never ceased to amaze me. Jane and I were stand parters for Junior Districts in 2015, and I am so glad that during those couple of days she reached out to me, giving me the opportunity to appreciate her inner beauty. Because of Jane I will remember that weekend at districts as being one of the greatest times of my life. I have a framed photo of Jane in my music room, and every time I go in to practice violin I play for her. The photo serves as a remembrance of her beautiful soul. I will never, ever forget her. Jane’s life ended far too early, but in her short 15 years on this planet she has changed the world for everyone she ever knew. Thank you for giving your daughter the gift of life. May she rest in peace. I mourn with you, and I send my love. Sincerely, Carly

Condolence: Dear Yoon and Young-Ak, My heart cries with you. No words to describe the pain and the agony of losing your dear Jane. I’ll remember her as quite, a bit shay so beautiful and kind, gritting me politely with a big smile. Aya would remember the time she played with her and Alex at your house. They had such a good time, that they didn’t hear us calling them. We (the mothers) got so scared we were to call the police, just to find a few minutes later the girls are having fun. No words will ever describe the wounded hurt and no words will ever be good enough to bring peace to you. We cry with you. May god be with you. Aya and Osnat

Condolence: Though I only knew Jane from a distance, she was always a prominent presence throughout the community as a talented young woman whose smile and cheerful personality always managed to light up a whole room. She was loved by everyone that has met her, and I hope that she will remain loved for generations to come. I send my thoughts and prayers to the whole family as all of you are going through this difficult time.

We can’t imagine and won’t pretend to know what it is you are feeling, but we know it has to be extremely difficult for you. We are sorry that you all are going through this. Condolence: Jane was a brilliant, beautiful person. She was someone I so admired, always working to improve and do better, yet always in the mood to tell a joke or laugh. i remember one time Jane texted me frantically saying that she somehow got a bug stuck in her ear. I was laughing on the other side at how she managed to get it out. She used her wits and common sense to solve her problem, while still making all of her friends laugh. I'm going to miss Jane very much, from her infectious laugh to her wide smile that spread across her face when we made Bio jokes together. Please let me know if there is anything you need during this time, a shoulder to cry on or an action at Nobles to help the students. Thank you for giving me the chance to know your beautiful daughter; she will be missed. ❤️

Condolence: Through my five weeks of music camp with Jane, it wasn't hard to realize that she was a kind, talented, extraordinary person. Her smile and wonderful personality could brighten anyone's day, whether at NEC or Greenwood. At camp she would always come to breakfast with a cheery smile, perfectly dressed and ready to go. It was great being in the house and sharing many experiences with her. She was well loved by me, as well as everyone of the Greenwood community. We will miss her dearly.
