Yvonne Pillion, 87, of Waltham, MA, died the evening of October 13, 2016, at the Marquadt Nursing Center in Waltham.
Born in Newton Highlands in 1929, Yvonne is the last deceased of her loving and close-knit siblings. Although she led a life constrained by developmental disability, Yvonne enjoyed her favorite foods and activities as well as visits from her brothers and sisters. She was also a beloved member of the family at the Marquardt, where she benefited from the extraordinary care and compassion of the excellent staff. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and some great-great- nieces and -nephews. A memorial service will be held at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Wellesley on Wednesday, November 16, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please direct gifts to the United Cerebral Palsy of Metro Boston.
