JOHNSON, Teresa a longtime resident of Newton died Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Joseph O. Johnson. She was the eldest child of the late Daniel and Katherine (Hurley) O’Brien. Predeceased by her siblings Marion O’Brien, Margaret Cronin, and John and Robert O’Brien all of Somerville. She is survived by two nephews, Daniel O’Brien of NH, and John Kevin O’Brien of East Boston, as well as 3 great nieces and 1 great nephew. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 21, at 10 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 9 Glen Rd. Wellesley Hills, followed by interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham. Mrs. Johnson was a long time and devoted member of St. John’s Parish and an active member of her community. After her retirement from the City of Newton Assessor’s Office, she continued to donate her time to the city by working at the polling places at each election. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
