Athanacia Arvanitis passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2013. She was born in Logganiko, Greece and lived in Wellesley, Massachusetts for 44 years.

Athanacia is survived by her husband Elias Arvanitis and her six children and their spouses: Eva and Sotiros Papadopoulos from Natick, Eugenia Arvanitis from Natick, Angie and Walter Snow from Medway, Christina Knight from Millis, Charlie and Simela Arvanitis from Natick, and Demetria and Paul Gigliotti from Wellesley.

She is also survived by her 16 grandchildren: James, Daniel, Ilia, Jannelle, Michael, Renee, George, Pamela, Ilia, Ilia, Alex, Athanacia, Eleni Maria, Christopher, Ilia, and Kayla; and great grandson Sammy.

She is survived by her brother George Samatas, Yianni and Nikki Samatas, Georgia and George Karalias, all from Greece and her late brother Ilia Samatas
